ideas to demonstrable system very quickly. Just as important those years have
exposed us to all sorts of systems and all sorts of databases.
We work for a client in two ways "off the shelf" or "bespoke"
Off the shelf is a new service we developed from the realisation that we kept designing the same system with only a little variation. These systems are put together with a qualified management systems professional and represent current best practice. the screens are however completely "soft" so that the wording (and language) can conform to your organisation's preferences and practices. Bespoke systems are what we've always done. Often these
come as a request to deliver an application which is based on one already working
but in a single department of a large organisation. Sometimes it is spreadsheet
based or MS Access but may be a CD-ROM based documentation or elearning system
or even a legacy system running on an old machine needing to be phased out.
The definitive system is then developed by our developer and designers and the database and web servers set up. This stage usually includes some training of client staff to ensure the future development of the system.
After user testing the systems are usually set up on two servers for live running and user training Decide offer full support for the application code in perpetuity and will be around should the user want to enhance the system or do another one.
